There are two ferry companies operating routes to Rosslare and Cork in Ireland.

Brittany Ferries provides one sailing per week to Cork, while Irish Ferries operates two voyages a week between Roscoff and Rosslare. Both are well established companies which operate excellent vessels.


Brittany Ferries


Brittany Ferries operates eight of the most modern vessels on the Channel. The company operates over 50 percent of the Channel's traffic, transporting over of 2.6 million passengers annually. The company has been operational since 1972.

The Pont-Aven covers the Roscoff-Cork route. The ship features stunning amenities including excellent accommodation, a pool, cinemas, children's play areas, food outlets, currency exchange services, a tourist information desk and an atrium providing scenic views. The duration of the voyage to Cork takes about 13 hours.

The ship can accommodate 2400 passengers and has a car capacity of 650.

Irish Ferries


Irish Ferries is Ireland's principal ferry company operating sailings between Ireland and Europe. Their fleet consists of four highly modern vessels. The company operated the first ferry crossing in 1973 and has contributed largely to the economy of Wexford.

The Normandy sails the route between Roscoff and Rosslare in approximately 17 hours. The ship provides all the amenities that passengers expect including excellent entertainment facilities, as well as many eateries and bars. The Normandy transports an average of 200,000 passengers annually. The craft can carry 1526 passengers, 420 cars and 43 trucks.
